Delicious food, the crispiest and fluffiest battered fish goujons I have ever had. Service was excellent, welcoming and very professional.Fantastic climbing frame in the garden.Highly recommend!
We stayed two nights in this unspoilt Devon village pub. Our room was well appointed, very clean, with comfortable beds and a proper sized en suite bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. Evening food was excellent.
Lovely place. Not quite the same character as I remember but still good. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Saturday night dinner, absolutely delicious.Great portions, superb service and a lovely atmosphere. Can highly recommend. This is how a pub should be.
Wow! What a terrific re-discovery for us. We’ve.enjoyed various versions of The Butterleigh for 40 years – many very good. But today was as good as it’s got. Food (roast beef) of excellent quality, and very reasonable price, pint of house ale very well kept; all staff and the owner friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back on a regular basis.
What an absolute gem, saved from being turned into flats, this traditional English pub had it all. Tucked away, but plenty of parking, great beer choice and whilst a small menu (I like that as everything is FRESH) what you get is excellent quality and plenty of it too.Worth finding I’d say
First time I’ve come here but it was lovely. I had Ox cheek and crumble for dessert. Great food and the staff are great.
Went for lunchtime meal. Excellent service, large menu. Food piping hot and good portions. Good range of beers on tap. Access to the pub along narrow lanes – well worth the find. Highly recommended
