Our establishment has been a beloved fixture in the community for generations. Today, we proudly preserve the timeless traditions of British hospitality while infusing modern comforts for an unforgettable experience.

The Butterleigh Inn has recently had a stunning revamp whilst keeping its classic country charm. Our beer garden has now been extended and includes a brand new kids play area.

Situated in the quaint village of Butterleigh, we are a stones throw from Tiverton and Cullompton and only a short drive from Exeter and the M5.

Are dogs welcome?

Of course! Well behaved dogs are welcome in our garden and bar area when kept on a lead. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in our restaurant area. In the garden, dog mess bags are provided, please ensure you clean up after your dog!

What are the rules on pets?

Only dogs are allowed at The Butterleigh Inn. If you are staying with us overnight, one well behaved dog is permitted per room. A supplementary charge applies.

Do you cater to specific dietary requirements?

Our varied menu will hopefully have something for everybody. If you have more complex requirements, please get in touch and we will do our utmost to accomodate.

Do you have a beer garden?

What good country pub doesn’t? We’ve recently extended our beer garden to offer even more outside seating and have also added a playpark at the top of the garden to keep the kids entertained!

Can I park?

Our large car park has ample space, even if you opt to arrive on horseback! We have a specially built yard to accommodate your 4-legged friend.

Can I book for a large group?

To book for a group larger than 6, please contact us directly.

How do I book a stay?

To book for a stay in our rooms or cottage, please visit booking.com – we hope to have our own booking system soon!

When can I check in?

Standard check-in times are 4pm-6pm, but we are flexible, if you’ll be arriving outside of these hours, please contact us directly. Checkout is 10am.

Can I book for a private function?

Our restaurant is available for private bookings and functions, for details please contact us directly.

Can I arrive before my table booking time?

Of course! If you’ve booked a table, we may not be able to seat you until your allocated booking time, but you are always welcome to join us for drinks in our bar area prior to dining. We would ask that you allow at least 15 minutes prior to your table booking so that we can seat you promptly.

Can I bring the kids?

Children are always welcome! We’ve recently extended the beer garden and added a play area just for kids. All use of the play area and supervision is the parent or guardians responsibility.
